We charge by the Unit. Because of legislation we are not allowed to name the brand of Anti-Wrinkle Injections we use, although we can say it is the most reputable brands on the market. How much your treatment will cost will depend on how many Units you will need to relax and smooth the area and how many areas you are having treated.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Every day, our facial muscles contract. As we age, the frequent and often unconscious contractions combined with daily exposure to the environment create fine lines, wrinkles and creases. These frequently appear around the mouth, eyes and forehead.

Cosmetic injectables are fast, simple, minimally invasive, and require no recovery. During this treatment, anti-wrinkle serum is strategically injected into the muscles that cause wrinkles throughout the face. This temporarily relaxes the muscles responsible for contractions and smooths the appearance of creases.

As one of our most popular injectable treatments, Dr. Vo regularly administers anti-wrinkle injections to soften the appearance of wrinkles near the eyes, on the forehead and on the upper lip. While this treatment is often considered a cosmetic procedure tailored for women, injectables are quickly gaining popularity among our male clients. For men, this treatment is the ideal solution for crow’s feet around the eyes as well as softening moderate to severe creases that appear between the eyebrows, known as the glabellar line (frown lines).

This non-surgical injectable goes beyond offering cosmetic benefits to patients. Thanks to the minor paralytic effects of this medication, Dr. Vo has used anti-wrinkle injections to treat a number of non-aesthetic conditions. These include overactive facial and eyelid muscles, bruxism (teeth grinding) and excessive sweating, headaches and migraines.

Filler should be subtle…it should never be overdone!

Dr. Vo is an experienced at bringing out your natural beauty, not changing you into someone else. It is great to learn generally about the benefits of each filler, but it’s our job to help you choose which filler is best for you. Let us guide you to the filler best suited to your needs and budget.

What are Dermal Fillers and Injectables used for?

Dermal filler injections, or injectable fillers, are non-surgical cosmetic treatments that are used to repair such conditions as sagging skin, sunken facial contours, creases, folds, lines, wrinkles, and thin, brittle lips.  Dermal fillers come in a variety of different formulas, each targeting specific problems and specific areas of the face or body.  These treatments provide results that, in some cases, may last as long as two years.  You may choose a single filler or a combination of fillers as a standalone procedure, or you may choose to use dermal fillers in combination with any other procedure such as liposuction or plastic surgery to achieve a more defined contour.

Why are Dermal Fillers and Injectables so popular?

Dermal fillers are popular because they are safe for almost anyone to use. They provide a quick and effective aesthetic solution that is inexpensive, minimally invasive, and yields immediate results with the added benefit that many treatments provide continued improvement over time.  Dermal fillers typically take under an hour to administer and require no recovery period. Some patients may require follow-up treatments, and some treatments produce gradual, ongoing results, but in most cases, you will see an immediate improvement to your appearance after a single treatment.

Who can benefit from Injectable Dermal Filler treatments?

Almost any healthy adult in good overall health may be an ideal candidate for an injectable dermal filler treatment, but they are especially recommended to treat those with the following conditions:

  • Acne scars
  • Wrinkles, creases, folds, or lines on the face
  • Sagging skin in the mid-face region and sunken cheeks
  • Crow’s feet, laugh lines, smile or frown lines at the corners of the eyes
  • Deep vertical creases extending from the nose to the corners of the mouth
  • Thin, brittle, flat, or undefined lips
  • Vertical lines surrounding the lip line sometimes called “smokers’ lines”
  • Volume replacement in the cheeks, eyebrows, face, and nose

What types of Dermal Fillers can I choose from?

There are many types of dermal fillers on the market, each designed to treat different areas of the face.  Dr. Vo and our team will assist you in choosing the most suitable treatment or treatment combination for your skin type in order to achieve your aesthetic goals.

How are Dermal Fillers administered?

Dermal fillers are administered as injections using a very fine-gauge needle.  We may first numb the area with a topical anesthetic to prevent any potential discomfort during treatment. To treat fine lines and wrinkles, the filler is delivered to the outermost layers of skin, while treating the innermost layers of skin effectively reduces the appearance of deeper folds and creases. Some patients report a stinging sensation during the procedure, and some have reported minor discomfort following the treatment, but dermal fillers require no recovery period, and patients may resume regular activities immediately after treatment.

Do I have to prepare in advance for a Dermal Filler Treatment?

There is little to no preparation required before your dermal filler injections, however, you must inform the practice of any medications you may be taking, including aspirin, as you may need to postpone taking certain medications in preparation for dermal injections.  If you have any type of skin condition or irritation such as cold sores, cysts, pimples, rashes, hives, or an infection, treatment may have to be postponed until the condition has subsided.

Is there any downtime after Dermal Fillers?

There is no required recovery period following dermal filler treatments, and most patients are able to return to work and resume regular activities immediately upon leaving our practice.
